The best restaurants

27/05/2025: Friendly staff, incredibly delicious food, lots of choice, and not too expensive. We were there around 12:00 PM and didn't need a reservation.

26/05/2025: We ordered takeaway from Umi Falafel and it was delicious. The food was prepared super quickly, and the service was very friendly. We had a vegan shawarma, a falafel box with bread and various sauces, and a tabbouleh salad with lots of herbs. Everything was delicious, and the falafel was nice and crispy. We highly recommend this place.

03/06/2025: We happened upon Cat & Cage as it was located within a minutes walk from our hotel, the Skylon Hotel in the Drumcondra area of Dublin.We were initially drawn in by their name (marketing works on us, lol) and then "sold" with their amazing sounding vegan options. Until researching to write this post, we hadn't realized we were walking back into four centuries of history dating back to 1690, wow, who knew!! It was dinner on Thursday night and the place was hopping (if the pub were named "The Bunny & the Cage" that would make a funny pun but ahhhh, I digress...). While everything was excellent, the best item of the evening was the Beer Battered Onion Rings with Chipotle Mayo. For a fried food, these tasted incredibly light and the onions tasted very fresh! The Funghi Pizza offered a hearty and varied mouthfeel with each bite, with lots of flavors and textures between the wild mushroom mix, the spinach, pistachio crumbles, and mozzarella cheese! We both agreed that between the crust and the cheese, the pizza could have benefited from an additional couple of minutes of oven time but that didn't deter from this being an amazing option! The burger was equally satisfying with a generous portion of delicious house cut chips (fries, but I know you know that lol). We were hungry and really jonesing to try all of the options that we did .. but honestly, either the pizza or burger option would likely be enough for two reasonable .. not so gluttonous people! If you live in Dublin and haven't been or you're visiting, either way .. Cat & Cage needs to be on your short list of places to eat!

29/12/2024: We finally got to visit Wuff after hearing so many good things about it. Lovely cosy atomsphere. The food is sublime and simply stunning. The chorizo eggs benedict is the best I have ever tasted hands down. We had a lovely Brunch for my wife's birthday. Their staff are an asset. Warm and friendly. Highly recommended. A must go we will back for sure.

22/12/2024: Staff nice but this place has seriously gone downhill since closing as Wuff. €11 for a pre-made sandwich which wasn’t properly heated. I ordered a breakfast roll and more than half of the filling was very bland, tasteless and rubbery scrambled egg. If you want a sandwich I’d recommend you go five minutes up the road to centra, you’ll get a much nicer one there for half the price.

30/05/2025: 10/10 - I had a chicken doner kebab and it was super, super delicious! Better than some doner kebabs in Germany.

13/05/2025: Yesterday we stopped by, we got coffee and pastries which was ok, but the staff was terrible and the facial expressions of the lady who took our order really ruined our day. What a disappointment.

04/06/2025: Great experience. The setting is pleasant (chic bistro) but a little noisy. Impeccable service. We enjoyed ourselves, even if I found that some of the dishes weren't sufficiently enhanced but overwhelmed by their accompaniments or sauces with the multiplicity of flavors.

12/05/2025: Here for a 50th. Excellent night. Group of 50+ people. Great service, fantasic food platters, and brilliant music. Couldn't fault it.

17/05/2025: Very cozy café, and my brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious!

15/05/2025: We went for breakfast and the food was amazing, poached eggs were done perfectly and the combination with the yogurt was surprisingly delicious. Especially for such a tiny cafe the food was very tasty! We were just visiting but definitely will be back!

23/05/2025: We had breakfast in this bakery during a weekend in Dublin and we were really satisfied! The coffee and cappuccino were delicious (said by two Italians it is worth double..), the pastries we had were a pleasant discovery of Argentine pastry, very tasty and well made. The availability and professionalism of the two girls was excellent and their kindness was put to the test by me.. who unfortunately dropped, while I was putting my jacket back on, a decorative cup, breaking it into pieces. Despite the damage caused, I was treated with kindness and empathy. (I apologize again..). The location is very convenient, especially if you plan to visit the Guinness Storehouse. I absolutely recommend it :)

15/06/2025: Had to Visit everyone talks about this pub, great old pub lots of character and great atmosphere.

15/06/2025: It's the oldest pub in Ireland. I loved it; the decor is filled with old fishing rods, police patches, and lots of odds and ends. They have all kinds of beers and live music on certain days. There's paid street parking nearby.
