26/07/2025: Sheridan’s Cheesemongers in Galway is hands-down one of the finest cheese stores we’ve ever visited, anywhere in the world. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of character—a true haven for anyone who loves exceptional food. We were helped by a young man with curly hair (wish we’d caught his name!), and honestly, he made our experience unforgettable. His patience was incredible—he took the time to listen to exactly what we were looking for, answered all our questions, and never once made us feel rushed. His knowledge of the cheeses was unparalleled, and his recommendations were spot-on, from the more familiar varieties to the lesser-known gems. On top of that, he was just an absolute delight—so kind, approachable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. It was clear he truly enjoys helping customers discover new flavors, and his warmth made us feel like we were chatting with a friend, not just a shop assistant. If there’s an Employee of the Month at Sheridan’s, we absolutely recommend him! One of the absolute highlights was finding Cáis na Tíre, an extraordinary cheese produced in Tipperary. We’ve tried cheeses all over Europe and beyond, and this one genuinely stands out as one of the best we've ever had—rich, complex, and beautifully balanced. The shop itself is full of carefully curated selections—each one clearly chosen with love and expertise. It’s a place where you could easily lose track of time, happily tasting, learning, and chatting. We walked away with full bags, happy hearts, and the certainty that we’ll return every time we’re in Galway. Sheridan’s isn’t just a shop—it’s an experience. Don’t miss it.

18/07/2025: Café serves some amazing food. We had breakfast and we weren't disappointed. All our dishes were flavoursome.

13/07/2025: One of our favourite places to get lunch from, delicious food and helpful staff - Yan and her team are always pleasant to visit. Shoutout to the pesto halloumi sandwich on gluten-free bread, delicious!

04/08/2025: We stumbled upon this one while finding a quick place to eat and were extremely happy with the food and quality. The staff is very helpful (and fun) and we had a very nice time each stay.

04/07/2025: Update from 22/06/2025 - Something must've changed in this Cafe. Espresso was not great, I'd say the coffee machine needs proper cleaning, and the Natas were just ok. You can see that the pastry is not the same as before. It's almost Lidl level. Disappointed, I have to say. Best pastel de nata in Ireland... enough said. But if you're a true connoisseur of portuguese pastry, you'll be rewarded also with Tortas de Azeitão, Pão de Deus, Bolas de Berlim, Bolo-Rei (during Christmas time), and much more. This place really gives a small taste of what a portuguese cafe is.

20/07/2025: Came to Neville’s for a quiet drink on a Sunday afternoon. We were really looking forward to it as we had heard good things. We ordered two drinks and sat at the bar for a few minutes as all tables seemed to be reserved. We then decided to check if any tables were available for us to sit at. A man who I presume is the manager then questioned us asking if we were ok, why we were walking around and asked if ‘we were lost’. This made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome and put a downer on our evening. He wasn’t one bit welcoming. The waitresses also attended every table beside us but left us sitting there with empty glasses, asked other tables if they were ok and brought them drinks. Nobody came near us. I would not be in a rush back here.

09/08/2025: Crispy chicken with Lemon and Mango: I don’t think they really change the oil. Bad bad food

05/08/2025: Very friendly service; we had three different curries with chicken and rice, which were truly delicious. But when they say spicy, they mean it—not too spicy, but still quite spicy! And I think the idea of paying on the way out is creative and great, because if it's good, you just get up and pay... that's it! If you like Asian food, this is a great recommendation.

15/08/2025: Similar to the Ethiopian food we had in the states so I assumed its authentic. :) I am no expert but food are all delicious and taste fresh. The use of spice is nice if I have to criticize the meat is a bit overdone. Also unlike those in America, the food was not served altogether on one plate for all guests on the same table. All in all happy experience and recommend it.

11/08/2025: Gorgeous food with strong flavours and at least six vegan options. Affordable too and friendly service. Get into Mulligan's next door after for some Guinness as dessert.

06/08/2025: The burger was excellent and the service too, the waiters are attentive and very friendly. The restaurant is a little hidden but it's worth going there for a visit. Honestly a good experience 👍

04/08/2025: Had another fabulous meal here in July with family who were in town from London. The service, food and atmosphere was second to none! It's such a gem Rathgar and love going there. Highly recommend it and love the welcome greeting we get when we arrive, everytime!
