07/04/2026: Wow. foods are amazing.i ordered chicken topping pizza.taste was amazing.the falvor of pizza was different than normal. Staffs are kind and sincere..very great ambience for relaxed dinner..

26/04/2026: Very popular pub/restaurant on the busiest street in Galway. Lots of tourists but the food is very good. Enormous rib-eyes, great onion rings, excellent chips. A bit crowded - tables seem a bit closer than need be but a positive experience.

25/04/2026: Wow. Just saying- it's an amazing place! Food is gorgeous and such a nice and friendly staff! Try beef&Guinness stew and their potato boxy! And a rhubarb crumble with ice cream!

06/05/2026: Our hotel concierge got us a reservation at this restaurant. The food was excellent. Highly recommended. We had the Dingle Bay Crab as a starter which was fantastic, the Pigs on the Green pork tenderloin which was very juicy and delicious and wrapped up with the bread pudding for desert.

06/05/2026: First meal in Dublin at The Winding Stair absolutely hit the spot after a long night of traveling. The whipped goat cheese salad was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, while the spicy tomato soup was pure comfort in a bowl. Cozy atmosphere, great service, and an ideal start to our Ireland adventure

12/04/2026: 6 of us stopped in for a meal last Wednesday night. Great local restaurant with plenty of well cooked seafood on the menu. The arancini was bursting with flavour and the crab claws were the biggest I’ve seen in years! The restaurant is spotless, warm and welcoming. All the staff were excellent, great to be seeing genuine hospitality that comes naturally on show. Nothing was too much trouble with the service being friendly and professional. Drinks were spot on too!! Thanks to all at the Boathouse, Garry, Gary, Molly - and the rest - we’ll see you again next time!

03/04/2026: Simply the best fish I ever had in my life! Great to see and have a quick discussion with the chef after eating his incredible food. Really one of the best restaurants in Ireland!

15/12/2025: Irish pub, very large and typically warm. Nice family atmosphere in the evenings. There are six rooms, located just above the main building, but they're still quite well soundproofed. They don't serve breakfast in the morning, but there are other places nearby.

02/11/2025: Great staff very friendly and work efficiently. Restaurant is clean Food was ok, massive portions (make smaller portions for a cheaper price) 2 of us ate here, we got a burger and fires each ,a portion of wings, 2 drinks and 3 dips. It came to over €60. Very expensive for whats basically chipper food. Burgers are called smashed burgers on the menu but it's just a bit of beef flattened. A smash burger should have crispy edges the meat should be caramelised.

26/10/2025: First time here was unsure what to expect. Book in advance(had to eait 15 minutes a walk in. Server seated us and didnt explain that you order at the counter. When I went up and ordered,when we asked for loaded chips as a side,they didnt make it easy but we got there, but a friend with us asked for the sqme and wasnt able to. Food was good,portions decent and good range on the menu

28/04/2026: We went for Sunday lunch here and were so delighted with our experience. The building itself is so beautiful, and worth stopping in for a drink even if you don't have time for a meal. I'm vegan and couldn't see anything listed on the menu, but they were able to provide me with a delicious 3 course meal, a vegan surprise, if you will :) Often the vegan options at places feel like an afterthought, something quickly thrown together, but this meal was so good I ate every bite. The servers were wonderful too, with one of them even offering to run to the shop to grab plant-based milk when they were out of it (above and beyond!! Obviously I said it wasn't necessary, haha). Also very reasonably priced for such quality of food. Highly recommend!

11/04/2026: Had a steak sandwich here a few weeks ago and it was probably one of the best I have ever eaten. Crisp bread, good quality steak, mushrooms, an onion ring and pepper sauce for 20 quid is a steal these days. Restaurant is beautifully designed and very modern. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area. Paddy’s next door is nice for a pint but this is the place to eat

26/04/2026: Mid afternoon Sunday 26th April 2026 we ordered a pint of Guinness and a pint of Heineken...half way through the Guinness been pulled a fly landed on top of the pint ,then the barman tipped the fly into the sink and continues to pull the pint. ...we couldn't believe what we had seen but we said nothing...the pint of Guinness was given to us with nothing said...my Heineken was terrible with a bitter taste...we had been to Kehoes and Grogans earlier and the Heineken was just great....we mentioned this to the barman as we left and he replied with a smart remark....terrible beer and a terrible attitude from the barman...steer clear of this place, they serve slop and beer with flies in it...appalling attitude to customers.....
