14/04/2025: Very average food and service combined with high prices. One small piece of fish in fish and chips. Wouldn’t recommend as value for money is low

09/04/2025: Staff manage time fitted us in between 2 planned settings. Staff very welcoming /helpful especially at the door. Food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Service was swift, friendly and professional. Even as the next setting arrived and restaurant was at capacity the staff remained the same and looked well managed. (Make sure you take cash for a tip, as cannot add service with the bill on card)

23/03/2025: I normally love the Cornstore but recently went there and ordered the Cannelloni, the sauce was very sweet and it was almost like having dessert for main course. Chef needs to review this dish!

23/03/2025: I have eaten here a number of times over the last 2 years, with 3 other family members, & we are usually celebrating a birthday. The food has always been delicious, well presented & the portions are good. The service is excellent, with just the right balance of attentiveness. Almost as soon as we ran out of water or drinks, a server or manager checked to see if we wanted more. Every staff member who we interacted with was friendly, engaging & professional. I would recommend The Cornstore to anyone, especially if you like chateaubriand!!

11/04/2025: I visited the restaurant today and ordered the "Berlin Shawarma", which I’ve tried before and was familiar with how it’s usually served. The person at the cashier — who I later found out is the owner (as confirmed by one of the staff) — the payment is made before the food was served It seems the restaurant offers complimentary lentil soup to customers, and the owner simply pointed at it and told me to help myself. I did not like this ; it would have been much more courteous if he had served it directly rather than just pointing at it. When my order arrived, I was surprised to see that the shawarma was wrapped in Arabic bread instead of the usual type. I also checked their Instagram account and saw that the Berlin Shawarma is normally served in a different style of bread ( I attached a picture) I asked one of the staff whether they had changed it, and she explained that they usually use Turkish bread, but it was unavailable today — so they substituted it with Arabic bread. What really bothered me is that the owner himself took my order and did not mention that that the original bread wasn’t available. This felt disrespectful to the customer. I ordered this shawara only because I want to repeat eating the bread Additionally, the Arabic bread used was oversized and touched the table, which was concerning for me due to hygiene sensitivity. The table wasn’t clean enough when I sat down, which made things worse. I spke to a staff who I must say that was very kind and offered to change my order, which I appreciated. Even though the owner clearly saw me visibly upset and leaving the restaurant, and he made no effort to address my concerns or speak to me. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning there again!

27/03/2025: We had a wonderful dinner at The Helm. The three main courses we ordered (duck, hake and scampi) were all excellent, and the wine was delicious. Portions were very large. The dining room is beautiful too. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Westport!

25/03/2025: Flablious house, spacious rooms so many, great fir families,ensuite upper floor, bathroom facilities and washing facilities available, well equipped kitchen loads of light, outside area available, can be used for barbecue, 5 mins from the quays, so peaceful and so perfect, Flablious breakfast available. Amazing prices. Sure will go back ...🙌

17/04/2025: Let's start at the end...the homemade apple pie left our mouths sweet for the subsequent walk through the Galway shopping area. Before that dessert, it should be noted that we ordered the menu with a cream with its "seafoods" and vegetables, YUMMY, and then a beef stew with garnish that was even YUMMIER...with all this we can now take a good shopping trip to wash it down hahahahaha. The pleasant service and the historic place. Advisable!

03/04/2025: it tastes very good but is it anywhere near authentic preparation of Asian dishes? No really, they have the spices and some of the flavors but they definitely cater to the Irish tastes. Again, it's got some of the flavors of the east but not even close to what they would eat there. Enjoy the awesome environment and fun named cocktails: rum job, jammy bastards etc fun and delicious

16/04/2025: The soup was really nice and the decor of the place is quite cute, great variety of deserts. The half sandwich with fries and soup was really worth it.

19/03/2025: Flawless tasting menu with the perfect pairing of wine. A must try! We ended the dinner feeling happy, satisfied and not overly full, which is always a risk with this type of food experience. We found the pace to be perfect. We never had a dull moment. There was a perfect cadence of: bring the wine, explain the wine, allow a few minutes to enjoy it, bring the new course, explain the course, taste the course, clean, bring the new glass & restart. Toward the end of the dinner we started noticing how they adapted seamlessly to the pace of every table so that it felt they always left exactly the same time in between stages while they clearly weren't. Very smooth. Luis has great storytelling and a very good sense of humor that brought lightheartedness to the dinner, something that we always like and made us feel super comfortable. In fact, while it's clear there a lot of work went into preparing the dinner and then in serving it, I would never call this a "fancy dinner". It just didn't feel so, which means bonus points for me. All the 7 wines served were very interesting and tasty. Some were even surprising (like the first, which was a sweet wine!). All the courses were an explosion of flavour, often presented in surprising ways and the base ingredients were clearly very good. If I have to call out one single area of improvement, I think the finale could be improved. I found the mini madeleine of the petit-fours underwhelming. I then lacked a strong taste to end, something like coffee as they don't have decaf (they said they are getting a new machine) or a spirit (I think they only have wine & dessert wine)
