17/05/2025: Fabulous lunch. Couldn't fault anything.

13/05/2025: Stopped here after touring Ballymaloe Cookery School for a snack. The pistachio macaron was delicious! Large, perfectly chewy and fluffy at the same time. Fizzy water washed it all down and balanced the sweetness. Well stocked gift shop with every kitchen item you could ever wish for and a nice selection of woolen items. We didn't stay here, so I can't comment on the hotel.

24/05/2025: My favorite pub in Cork! I love sitting outside and enjoying the view. The inside is really nice too, I love the decoration. They have so many different beers, I tried some but my favorite one is the number 4 (I always order the number, cause I don’t remember the name hahaha). Nice staff too ;)

08/06/2025: We just had tea and scones, apple tarts. But I’ve eaten more on other visits. It’s always nice. The atmosphere is just perfect - lots of history and local intrigue. The service is warm and welcoming. This place is a must to bring visitors.

04/05/2025: Simply a fabulous restaurant. Best steakhouse I have been to in years in all my travels . This is how a steak should taste and you have not had a proper steak until you have been to the 1810 steakhouse. From start to finish an amazing meal , great wine , great beer and great service. Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. You gotta try it , a true hidden gem

15/06/2025: Very good hidden little gem that was surprisingly empty on a Sunday night. The Guinness and meat pie was good but quite ordinary. Plenty of different types of seating. Even outside. Friendly staff. Recommended!

11/06/2025: It's a very nice place during the week, but it's very crowded on weekends. It's a very comfortable place with a good atmosphere. But what I most recommend eating there is the lazangña.

16/05/2025: Always been a good pub. Friendly staff, who will bring drinks to your table if you like, and a nice atmosphere. It's a large place, so plenty of room, and quiet corners if that's what you're after. Clean and tidy. Good Guinness, well poured, and a decent looking menu. Just a 10 minute walk from Killiney beach if you need refreshment after a walk. Obviously I'll be going here again when I'm back in the area. Do I go in? Of course Igo Inn!

22/04/2025: Having driven from Newbridge last Saturday to arrive at 3 , after trying to find a place to park to get to this restaurant at 3.15. Very disappointed to be told they were closing . Even though closing hours not until 4 o’clock. There was a gentleman inside who had just been served yet we were told they were finished serving. We were just wanting to a Tea and Coffee and Cake. I have mobility issues and it took us longer to get there from parking car than normal. Very frustrating. …,,A little compassion would go a long way here.

03/06/2025: We went here on a recent visit to Wexford. The staff were great - friendly and engaging, really nice. The food however was hit and miss. My daughters steak was very nice, she enjoyed it. My special of the day which was fish was in a soup rather then a sauce, totally covered. Husbands risotto was hard and tasted precooked/reheated. We barely ate either of our dishes. Starters lovely and we ate them all. Food also came out very quickly, like was definitely not cooked to order. I think we were out of the place within an hour and that was with 2 courses for 3 people.

29/05/2025: We had visited this venue a few years ago when it was 10 bistro and often reminisced about the great food we had. It was my husband’s birthday tonight so we made the trip to Wexford. We both really enjoyed the starters - tempura prawns and lamb koftas. My husband had the beef rib for main which he loved, however I had the pork belly and honestly it wasn’t great. It tasted like it had sat under a lamp for a few hours and the roast potatoes that’s came with it were inedible- they tasted microwaved/ the pork crackling was rubbery. So disappointing as it wasn’t a cheap night out, hopefully it was just a bad night but honestly it’s not what I expected- I’m surprised the waiters served it as it was visibly unsavoury looking…

20/05/2025: We had a 50th birthday celebration for a relative who returned from Canada for the occasion. The food and service were excellent. My one issue was that when I handed the cup cakes for the birthday lady to the waitress I was told they could be lit & presented but could not be eaten on the premises. If there is such a rule I think this fact should be revealed at the booking stage. It did appear on the website either. The cake presentation was a bit pointless.

14/06/2025: Definitely a typical and populated pub. Packed with people (reservations recommended). Excellent quality food and lots of variety. Maybe not much for vegetarians (some oriental dishes). Excellent beers!

A special shoutout to Enda, a staff member who went above and beyond when I accidentally left my wallet behind. He not only found it but took the time to reach out to me personally and arranged to have it posted back – a rare act of kindness that speaks volumes about the people who work here. I can’t recommend McHugh's enough.Cheers to Enda and the whole team!

18/05/2025: One of the best restaurants we visited on our entire trip to Ireland. I can't recommend this place enough if you are a vegetarian! The shepardless pie was amazing! The sweet potato salad was great as well. I really appreciated the large selection of local craft beer.
