The best restaurants

12/04/2025: This was in 1998 though and then was fantastic, I was with the bolands family the car dealers and they looked after me especially Tony and his boys, great family.

19/03/2025: It is a nice pub that you could easily spend an evening in. The food is nice, as a veggie there were good options. Service was very good, the staff really worked hard to ensure customers were attended to.

24/02/2025: Arrived shortly after opening time (1pm) on a Sunday to find the front door closed. When after waiting for several minutes we managed to get in through a side entrance the owner rebuked us for not having used the front door which was locked on the inside. She then said there was no food available because of a problem with the power supply. Many people like us will have come from a long way away to visit the pub because of the association with Tom Crean but as far as we could tell only locals are made welcome. I wonder how the legendary Tom Crean would have felt about this. Completely different from our experience everywhere else we have been in the area.

24/03/2025: Good food, good location, great service, what more could you want? This café/restaurant is located in the courtyard of a former monastery, accessible via some rather steep stairs. But climbing them is worth it, because Good Day Deli is a true gem. The small and modern hut offers indoor and outdoor seating, and as it was a sunny day, sitting outside in the sun was the best possible option. The brunch menu is rather small, but I'd say you'll definitely find something here. I opted for the pancakes that come with a hibiscus poached pear and coconut mascarpone. Not a big coconut fan but in combination and moderation it was good, and the pancakes were great. Wasn't too impressed with the price of their coffee, though. I was recommended to try this place by locals and it was the very first thing I did after arriving in Cork. Go and try their brunch, it's really an experience!

23/03/2025: Good Day Deli is a great spot for a tasty brunch! I had the Turkish eggs with an extra side of halloumi, and the food was absolutely delicious—well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The only downside was having to sit indoors due to the windy weather, and the acoustics inside made conversation a bit of a challenge since you had to raise your voice to be heard. Still, the food was worth it, and I’d definitely go back!

02/04/2025: Very good mocha coffee. Cocobar (a kind of cake slice with grated coconut, strawberry jam and chocolate) nice, but cloying. Very kind service. Environment neither good nor bad, the bathrooms could use some updating.

16/03/2025: I had the salad and a coffee for lunch. Food was very flavorsome and fresh. Definitely nice atmosphere with town tall feeling. A busy spot.

03/04/2025: Tardis of a bar. Traditional Irish bar at the front, but go through to the beer garden and things open up. A really nice Dough Bros pizza shop and live music after 6pm. Just a really nice place 🍕🍕🎶🎶😁

28/03/2025: We were delighted to discover the back garden serves dough bros pizza!!! Dinks were enjoyable as was the music! The live band kicked things off near 18:30 and they were fantastic! The wood fired pizza was thin and scrumptious!

18/04/2025: Excellent experience! I was very surprised and impressed and the outstanding quality and top notch service. I went for the set menu which was fantastic value at €25 for 2 x courses with a good selection. I'd highly recommend the tagliatelle Alfredo. One of the best I've ever had and that's including in Italy. Amazing Smokey but creamy taste. Ate it so quickly I didn't get the chance to take a proper photo. Also had a lemoncello spritz, which was ok but a bit light on the lemoncello.

05/04/2025: Went there for our wedding anniversary and Omg what a beautiful place! TOP class starters! Gorgeous mains and the cocktails to die for! Friendly and professional staff too! Highly highly recommended! I must say the top restaurant in Navan at the moment!
