The best restaurants

16/03/2026: Servers never took us to a table, have a sign saying please wait to be seated, we waited and waited, 3 different servers went by on multiple occasions and didn't even acknowledge our existence, extremely rude, not the first time having this experience here, my mother is elderly and unwell and not fit to be standing, have no intentions of coming back

08/02/2026: Absolute disgrace of a venue. Myself and two friends were there a week ago to catch up over a drink. When ordering our second pint we were told we were no longer being served as we had made a “bet” on who could pull a female member of staff. Bare in mind one of my friends is engaged, and the other is emigrating to Australia with his partner. Our conversation had consisted of slagging eachother for losing pool earlier in the day. The staff member would not even hear us out as we tried to explain that perhaps they had the wrong group of men and was rude and dismissive. I have never been so insulted in a premises or utterly embarrassed. I will never be back.

22/02/2026: First time but definitely not the last time at this beautiful place, everything and everyone was just amazing, the decor, the food, the staff were nothing short of Amazing, it's just a step up from what we've experienced before, cannot wait to return, thank u

22/02/2026: Amazing place to visit and stay

15/03/2026: Booked for 7pm Arrived early 6.50pm Sat.... And waited, people on table behind us asked for and got the desert menu.. And got the desserts, people besides us ordered coffee, got their coffee.. but then. A table of three got seated AND the waiter then 5mins later took their order. THAT WAS ENOUGH! Myself and my daughter got up, I went over to this waiter , who had given us menus and our table. I said I'm sorry we are here 35mins and no one has taken our order, yet the table besides me sat down and within 5minutss you took their order. We are leaving!!!!!

27/10/2025: We had a delicious meal at Lord Baker's! The proprietor was there and was so attentive along with the rest of his staff. We had an appetizer of Stuffed Mushrooms that we ended up ordering a second order of because they were so delicious. All of our food was well prepared, and they even put a little surprise on my dad's dessert for his birthday! We all tried each other's dishes and no one was disappointed!

19/09/2025: Delicious salmon dinner! The cheesecake was amazing! The staff were lovely!

14/12/2025: Kebabs are awful. Doner meat burnt and the chicken is a chopped up breaded goujon.. if I wanted a chicken fillet wrap I’d have gone to a deli. Chips also not nice. Pizzas are great but I would never order a kebab or the chips again.

15/11/2025: We used to buy pizza here and it was amazing. The last two pizzas we got were mediocre and the chips were taken out of a Lidl bag. No decent Italian place would do Lidl chos. Great service, nice guys but the quality went down.

30/10/2025: Had a great experience here. The food was amazing, especially the Peri Peri Burger and wings. The kebabs were incredibly tasty too, thanks to Farooq who really knows how to get the flavors right. Paula was super friendly and gave the best suggestions. And Aadil, the owner, welcomed everyone with such a cheerful vibe. Overall, delicious food and an awesome team. Definitely coming back! 🍔✨

12/10/2025: We were staying in Dooagh and happened upon The Valley House. Stayed for a few pints and a chat. Absolutely class place, extremely friendly service. We'll check out the accomodation and food on our next visit.

30/09/2025: What a wonderful find on Achill Island! A hidden Victorian house by the sea. A grand estate with a tiny Irish pub in the back. A must visit! The hostel was very well furnished and a comfortable night’s rest. I was very impressed! Breakfast was very generous and a wholesome stay.

06/12/2025: Excellent range of coffees including complex filter coffees. Quiet and secluded. Hard to not be tempted by their delicious cakes and buns. Warm friendly service. Wish it was bigger but that’s part of the appeal too. My fav coffee shop on Galway bar none.

28/11/2025: These guys know what they’re doing. Excellent latte that had no need for sugar or syrup. I even picked up a bag of the same beans used in their espresso. My wife tried their ube matcha and it was also delightful.

27/09/2025: Wonderful cocktails, great music and ambience, and I cannot say enough good things about the people that work here. I celebrated my 30th birthday AND engagement here, and my fiancée and I were shown such incredible hospitality by everyone we interacted with. I wish I could remember our bartender’s name, he truly made the night special. It’s been a month since we returned from Ireland, and our night at Paladar is one of our favorite memories from the whole trip. Highly recommend spending your time and money here!

20/09/2025: The atmosphere was good but was pressurized to finish the dinner for the next customer. I understand the time limit on the table but since we sat down we were reminded on several occasions the time limit which made us feel unwelcome.

14/09/2025: The most amazing place to go with your doggo. The chef asked our waiter to check what way my dog wanted his chicken cooked 😁 All the staff came over to dote on him and he was made to feel as welcome all the human customers. Pye leads the way in how our furry children should be treated. Let's not forget how amazing their food is. So so tasty. Thank you. Always a pleasure coming in.

13/02/2026: A fantastic pub with hospitable and knowledge staff. Worth a visit to the upstairs room with a replica of the Quiet Man cottage. Food was delicious. Well worth a visit.

30/11/2025: Buzzing environment in a quiet village with excellent food. A lot of hype about this place and it’s worth it. Good Guinness, whiskey and fantastic food!

11/03/2026: I witnessed a very disturbing incident involving security staff on Sunday evening. Two security guards were restraining a man, but the situation appeared to escalate far beyond what seemed necessary. From what I saw, the guards repeatedly punched the man in the head and face, dragged him across the floor, and kicked him while he was down before leaving him lying on the ground. The man may have been causing trouble, but the level of force used appeared excessive and was extremely concerning to witness. Security staff are expected to de-escalate situations and ensure people’s safety, not escalate them. I strongly urge management to review the CCTV footage from Sunday evening and ensure that appropriate standards and procedures are being followed by security staff. What I witnessed did not appear to be a safe or professional way to handle the situation.

20/03/2026: My daughter Ava played music there with her friend a number of times. She is a very professional accomplished musician. She got great feedback from the customers who enjoyed the musc. The Kingsley used her and never laid her or her friend for the music performance 's. This behaviour cannot and should not be tolerated by this establishment. This is iny opinion is exploitation. These girls are now dissalussioned. This behaviour is totally unacceptable. John Hallinan Ava's Dad.

11/03/2026: Fabulous hotel! The outdoor heated pool overlooking the River Lee was a highlight—so relaxing with a beautiful view. Highly recommended! ✨
