24/02/2026: Exceeded our expectations , staff very good and the food is lovely . Was a family reunion type trip and it was everything and more than once could hope for .

21/02/2026: A hotel with such a history that should and DOES know a thing or two about great old fashioned accommodation and service. Room was huge and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Nice to note that room safes would be overkill! I had the most succulent mouthwatering turkey and ham main for dinner, only problem was there were too many other customers there soI couldn't lick the plate😜 Breakfast service from 7:30 am, excellent with buffet and table service. Two perfectly cooked poached eggs for me. Thank you. Secure and free parking at rear by the side of the beautiful Ilen. What more can you ask for?

18/02/2026: Food was only ok but we ordered takeaway for 7pm, a few hours in advance, we arrived to collect it and were waiting half an hour. People kept arriving after us who had clearly ordered for later times and getting their food. I asked a number of times and was told they were busy. When we finally got our food, the order was wrong so we had to wait another 15 mins to get it corrected, by which time the other food was nearly cold. And then the food wasn't even that good, it was only ok. Update: The owner rang the next day to apologise and give me a €30 voucher.

17/10/2025: No. 1 Pery Square is an unexpected gem in Limerick! The style and design are truly incomparable and meticulous. We loved the unique, luxurious details—from the comforting scents throughout to the quirky garden art featuring vintage motors and machines. Service is impeccable, the spa was pristine, and the food and drink were superb. A genuinely relaxing, high-quality experience. Highly recommend!

12/09/2025: Chic and cozy boutique hotel in an easily accessible area of Limerick. Can’t overstate how strongly I recommend the spa here. We did the thermal experience and an hour massage after our red eye flight from NY and it was idyllic. The massage therapist Alan was amazing and I highly recommend getting a custom massage from him to start or end your trip in the most relaxing way possible!

23/10/2025: Had such a great experience here today. Went in with my friend and we didn’t have much time & the waiter was THE BEST. We were only waiting 5 mins for a table and he served us immediately and got our coffee and food for us SUPER quick. He told us he was “determined that we make our lecture”. Great service! We meant to ask his name but we forgot! Great staff 👏

18/03/2026: Hotel was lovely with great facilities, the friendliest staff - particularly Sinead on the front desk who helped with every request. The room was really comfortable and in a great location. Breakfast was tasty, with amazing bread. Would recommend to anyone staying in Clonakilty. We stayed at other hotels in the area before and this one was the best.

03/11/2025: This is a very well run and super fun dance academy! Large spaces to learn in and a good location. It’s also a friendly respectful atmosphere. The instructors are all experienced and they know how to teach in a way so that things are enjoyable. If your thinking of learning salsa or bachata I recommend it

28/12/2025: Had a lovely club sandwich and my partner had a sweet chilli panini, he said he loved it. We also had a hot chocolate to share which was very tasty. Overall would highly recommend.

28/12/2025: I paid €11 for a cold sandwich which was exactly like a meal deal from Tesco, except it was on a plate. Prices are high here but this was a rip off. The bread wasn't even toasted or fresh. All the ingredients tasted like they were bought from a supermarket a few days ago.

25/02/2026: I had an overnight stay with my best friend in the most miserable February weather for decades. To say the quality of the stay was diametrically opposed to the filth of the weather is a practically criminal understatement. From the moment we got to reception to the minute we left we were minded like babies. We had lunch in the bar - a ham and cheese toastie of gourmet standard, with the most perfect chips I’ve ever tasted. Even the garnish (leafy greens with slivers of roasted peppers and home pickled red onions, all completely seasoned and properly dressed) was delicious. We washed it down with a chilled glass of Snare Point and a very welcome sense of decompression. The barman served us with humour and very professional attention. Our room was absolutely gorgeous. Floral maximalism in design, with dual aspect windows and a lovely en suite. In terms of cleanliness - it was flawless (I checked the skirting board for dust!). We had more wine, chats and watched the latest episode of RHOBH (no shade please). I had a long shower, with Voya (my favourite) products and drank more wine and put on my face in my plentiful fluffy bath sheet. Dinner was perfect. Bread (with butter and a lovely peppery EVOO) an amuse bouche of seafood bisque, ham hock terrine, roasted salmon with velvety mash and creamy leeks. I had no room for dessert. We went back to the room for face masks, wine, telly and gossip. I slept like an innocent on a heavenly bed with crisp sheets and pair of feather pillows. Breakfast was had in room (pure luxury compared to normal life) and it was hot, tasty and came with loads of coffee. After a nap, another epic shower and with a heavy heart we went to check out. Part of our package included coffee and scones, which we had forgotten. The lovely receptionist (Carmel, I think) reminded us and set us up in the bar. Homemade, warm scones with homemade jam and whipped cream and coffee were the most perfect way to end our stay. I expect quality when I book a hotel that features in Ireland’s Blue Book, but the Station House Hotel is more than quality. Details are everything for me and from the chocolates, water and Voya pillow spray in the room, the many umbrellas at reception, the water with ice and lemon at lunch that was brought to us without having to ask, to the fact that all of the food was perfectly seasoned, it’s clear that details matter to all at the Station House Hotel too. Probably because it is family owned and run by a woman who has (I suspect) even higher standards than I; and because the staff all genuinely care that you have a perfect time (delivered with tons of warm personality instead of that soulless, corporate deference you get in big 5 star hotels), this hotel is in a class of its own.
