14/06/2026: Really appalled of the attitude of the manager and also owner of the restaurant and really ignorant and downright just a horrible person excuses that a staff was idiots and didn’t know what they was doing And I really did believe that I was judge for my nationality of who I was. Dew Drop Gastropub
Kill
04/08/2026: I went here on Sunday with my family for the first time and I'm already planning my next visit. Staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was fab. I had the Sunday roast and my partner had the seabass special. Both amazing. It was extremely busy there when we went but it looked like the staff were well used to it. If I could give more stars I would.
03/08/2026: Had my partners Mark 60th birthday party in the Green Room. The food platters were incredible and the young male server looking after us was so nice cheerful and friendly, wish i got his name. Sarah , the manager was so helpful when it came to organising this event. Everyone who attend had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend Dew Drop Inn . Thanks to all the Staff for making this a truly wonderful evening. Catherine.

Zakura - Japanese Tapas (Japas & Sake Bar)
Dublin
25/12/2025: Really poor service for a second time at this branch, last time we ate here the waiter left the food on the table with a grunt and no explanation of what the dish was or who it was for. This time it was a take away order with the staff member completely ignoring our presence for several minutes whilst they continue to wash dishes at the counter. Never again. Do better.
25/12/2025: Saltier broth in comparison to others but overall it is really good.

M O'Brien
Dublin
29/06/2026: There are pubs, and then there are places that seem to exist outside of time, quietly collecting characters, conversations, and perfectly poured pints. M. O’Brien’s is one of those rare places.
I wandered in because my hotel was just around the corner. Convenience got me through the door. The atmosphere kept pulling me back.
The room is comfortably compact, with small wooden tables that almost force you into conversation. Before long, the people at the next table aren’t strangers anymore. Every person seems to have a story, and every story somehow gets funnier with a pint in hand.
Speaking of pints, the Guinness deserves its own standing ovation. This wasn’t just a Guinness. It was a masterpiece of patience. The slow pour, the creamy head sitting proudly on top, the glass looking almost too perfect to touch. The first sip erased every disappointing pint I’d ever had elsewhere. Rich, velvety, impossibly smooth. If Dublin had an official handshake, this would be it.
The bar is the heartbeat of the place. Locals lean in with easy smiles, bartenders know exactly how to keep the room humming, and laughter never seems to stop. Not loud, manufactured laughter, but the kind that comes from old friends, good timing, and another round arriving just when it should.
There wasn’t a trace of tourist theater here. Nobody was trying to put on a show. The welcome was genuine, effortless, and unmistakably Irish. Within minutes I felt less like someone passing through and more like someone who had been expected all along.
After long days photographing some of Ireland’s finest golf courses, it became my nightly refuge. A short walk from the hotel, a flawless Guinness waiting at the bar, and a room full of people reminding me that the best part of travel is rarely the landmarks. It’s the conversations you never planned to have.
The great discoveries aren’t always found at the end of the road. Sometimes they’re just around the corner, hiding behind a perfectly poured Guinness and a room full of people who make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years.
10/05/2026: Always great service here. Lovely pub.

Oscars Seafood Bistro
Galway
25/07/2026: Outstanding from beginning to end. Go for the fish, and stay for the trio of creme brulees dessert - never seen or tasted anything like it!
25/07/2026: Exceptionally prepared seafood dishes with a mix of classic & innovative flavors (apple slaw with crab; sweet & sour sauce with the oysters). Knowledgeable & friendly staff, cozy environment.
