The best restaurants

13/04/2025: This place is Massive!! Felt like it kept going on and on. 3 bands playing. 5 bars and lots of seats. Music was fantastic and the bartenders were amazing.

08/03/2025: I was thrilled to see the barista using a traditional chasen to whisk the matcha, but unfortunately, my drink still had some clumps of powder. Despite that, I really enjoyed the ambiance and the friendliness of the staff.

16/02/2025: Small coffee shop in central Dublin. Some seating inside and outside. The selling point is the great coffee and the people watching.

14/04/2025: This is a beautiful, intimate restaurant. The food is absolutely stunning. At €95 per person, this is an amazing opportunity to taste Michelin Star quality food at a reasonable price point. The service was excellent, including an introduction to the meal by the chef. Magnificent!

11/04/2025: Came here for lunch. The octopus and beans was delicious and charred perfectly. The Piri Piri chicken also grilled to perfection, and sauce is quite spicy. The leaves side is a wholesome combination of lettuces (I just wished the cut the leaves down a little more).

05/04/2025: My hubbie and I had dinner last night at Mister S, with long standing couple friends. The food was so good, incredible value. Service was friendly and prompt. We had a bottle of Sauv. blanc for €41, fresh, perfectly balanced, zesty. I had chicken piri piri, and the others the steak. Sides of carrots, potatoes and salad. Everything was excellent.

29/03/2025: Lovely food and service as always. The only off-putting thing was that it was cold. A heater above the door would do wonders for keeping the place warm. Still saying that, I will definitely be back for a burger....

10/03/2025: Great pub/Restaurant. We were in the bar on a Thursday night. We enjoyed a great meal. Very good service, great food. There is a trad music session there every Thurday night. Great music & musicians. They were a lovely bunch of guys and really add to the atmosphere of the pub!!! Will definitely be back on a Thursday night to hear the music and have a drink!

23/12/2024: Great pub, It's 5 years since I last posted, but this place has gotten even better. The staff are sublime at every level, the food too, simple proper food. Indeed last week I was with my two golf buddies and they had the bacon and cabbage with all trimmings.......fantastic place. And dancing in the bar too on a Sunday....be prepared for good food, great staff and dancing 🕺 😋

09/03/2025: Fui a dos lugares en Dublín 2 en busca de helado que nunca decepciona. Tenía dos cucharadas de helado cada uno, que llegó a poco más de 14 €. ¡Es casi un robo que el helado sea más caro que la cerveza! Solía disfrutar de Gino’s, pero a ese precio, no volveré.

13/04/2025: Excellent welcome, a waitress spoke French and all the staff were very helpful. Top food we tried the soup, the beef burger, the fish and chips and the apple pie, very fresh.

13/04/2025: Small chowder portions - not enough especially after a hike but tasty nonetheless. The atmosphere and the whole look of the restaurant is however nice and warm.

24/12/2024: We were initially supposed to get married in 2020 but due to Covid and living overseas it didn’t happen until July 2024. All of the team at Medley were so supportive and reassuring during that time. We had our reception at Medley after our wedding ceremony at St Agnes’s Church. The venue itself is in a perfect location for a relaxed city wedding, great for getting photos and so convenient for guests. Andrew, Chris and Brian were great throughout the planning of the wedding and on the day itself. The communication was quick and easy, and nothing were too much trouble for them. The food and drink were great, and the staff were lovely and helpful at all times. We had quite a large wedding with approx. 135 guests. The sit-down meal may have felt slightly over capacity, but we were told that might be the case. We were supposed to have our speeches downstairs, but my partner decided to do it at the meal. However, some of our guests sat at the back couldn’t hear the PA system. Otherwise, everything else went really well and everyone had a wonderful day. The team at Medley made the day so pleasant and relaxed, they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We cannot thank you enough for making our wedding day so special and we would highly recommend Medley for a wedding or special event. Thanks again to Andrew, Chris & Brian for such perfect day.
