19/04/2026: Magnificent from all points of view Food, service and location merged together to create a beautiful experience Special mention to the lemon buttered scallops which were incredible

02/04/2026: We had a quiet evening out at this restaurant. Service was great with all staff doing their absolute best to ensure we had a pleasant evening. The food was good, but certainly not as most of the reviews we read described. That is to say, it was fine. There was more care in the presentation of the dishes than in the actual taste, but it is certain that people would be happy with what they will eat. I think salads were on the weaker side and so were the desserts compared to the rest items on the menu.

26/04/2026: Stopped here for just a tea and coffee. Ended up getting a scone and the most amazing Berry Crumble I've ever had. Staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are driving through Shannonbridge don't drive pass here. Stop for food drinks and a chat with the polite staff

06/12/2025: Excellent range of coffees including complex filter coffees. Quiet and secluded. Hard to not be tempted by their delicious cakes and buns. Warm friendly service. Wish it was bigger but that’s part of the appeal too. My fav coffee shop on Galway bar none.

28/11/2025: These guys know what they’re doing. Excellent latte that had no need for sugar or syrup. I even picked up a bag of the same beans used in their espresso. My wife tried their ube matcha and it was also delightful.

11/04/2026: A lovely pub ,restaurant,great carvery lunch and a la carte menu reasonable prices.Really lovely helpful staff

06/04/2026: We visited this pub for carvery with our two young children. My son had plain rice and he spilled some rice when eating it. Who I assume to be the manager was very rude and came over with another member of staff to clean up the floor and chair while we were still sitting there. She made us feel very unwelcome and had comments such as you should have gotten chips instead of rice and we can't have future guests in their nice dresses sitting in this seat. It wasn't busy when we were there and all the seats around us were empty, they could have cleaned up when we left. This is not a family friendly place, I would not recommend and will not be returning.

12/04/2026: Beautiful food. I had the seabass plate and sat outside as I had two dogs with me. It was outstanding and the staff are fabulous

10/04/2026: Drove from Cavan to Sligo this morning for breakfast at Shells Cafe. As always the food was outstanding.

27/04/2026: Fantastic place....all staff were very attentive, food was amazing. Definitely highly recommended it. You get to sit on the upper deck before dinner. You travel along the canel while passing through one lock gate. You then return in a backwards motion to where you started from.

18/10/2025: ​I was a walk-in and I found a table that a party who had a reservation hadn't arrived for yet, i waited for about1 hour until i found this table. After 30 minutes late, they arrived and made us leave. In my opinion, if you have a booking at a crowded place and you don't arrive on time, you should lose your spot. Simply, this place is a nightmare.

18/10/2025: Loved finding this place and escaping the high-trafficked tourist spots. Great pizza, great drinks, incredible atmosphere, and I playlist I want to duplicate at home. Service was incredible. 6 stars. 😍

15/04/2026: It's my favourite place in Bray!. The best view to enjoy a pint or 4. All the staff they are so friendly, but specifically Sebastian always very energetic and with a great attitude. The guys in the bar are super cool. Joel and the other guys (I will update the names as soon as I come back, maybe tomorrow 😀) That's what business needs, people like B&B.

15/04/2026: 5+ start to good and view. So far, the best food in Bray in terms of unforgettable experience. Great pint of Guinness. Def coming back and highly recommended. Missed a bit of live music but if you’re going for good drinks, food with a nice view, that’s your place!

25/12/2025: Really poor service for a second time at this branch, last time we ate here the waiter left the food on the table with a grunt and no explanation of what the dish was or who it was for. This time it was a take away order with the staff member completely ignoring our presence for several minutes whilst they continue to wash dishes at the counter. Never again. Do better.

03/04/2026: Perfect dinner experience, as always. Noticed some new menu tweaks made to continue offering gorgeous food and drinks at affordable prices, versus pushing prices on to the customer. Genuine neighbourhood cafe touch!

30/03/2026: We've not been back to the Castle for a while but it was always a family favourite. Delighted to return this weekend to the same friendly faces, great service and excellent food, fab vegan options too. Thanks Jerry as always

12/04/2026: Wonderful break in The Old Ground during the week. Faultless service, hospitality, food & value. The staff are lovely - special thanks to the team in Town Hall restaurant for looking after us so well. Still thinking about that meal! Looking forward to our next visit.
