The best restaurants

03/10/2025: Delicious food, especially the hake nanban don, a type of pork, rice, and soup. The service was also very friendly and fast.

02/10/2025: Food was totally bland, very disappointing!

16/10/2025: Its only OUTSIDE dog friendly. And outside you can not order food. So dont rate yourself as pet friendly

15/10/2025: Good trad looking pub. Fair beer selection. No food past 6 pm on the Tuesday we visited. Heavy tourist crowd.

22/09/2025: This is a relatively small Portuguese restaurant specializing in seafood. There is a husband and wife team who own the restaurant and handle most of the cooking and serving. The food is inspired by Goa in India and the food has complex and delicious flavours.

05/09/2025: This is the best breakfast experience in Galway!!!!! The French toast dishes are unbelievable and rival that of any American establishment!!!! Eggs and sausage to compliment create a spectacular flurry of flavors and textures!!! The service is exceptional and very fast!!!! Truly an amazing breakfast experience and the only way to start your day!!!!!

19/10/2025: Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. Clearly, the training given to staff members is excellent. Well done on great service and delicious food. Central location with plenty of parking too.

14/10/2025: Found it by chance and it was a lovely surprise! Delicious burgers! Very good service, the girls are super kind and helpful. I was even able to charge my phone since they have special outlets near the tables.

30/08/2025: Incredible meal from start to finish. Our waiter Seamus was a remarkable host and did not disappoint with his recommendations. The duck liver parfait was decadent and the fish rillette was refreshing. The pigeon breast was tender and the beef cheek was so rich in flavour. When it came to dessert, we had trouble choosing what to try but through Seamus’s recommendation, we had gone with the vanilla ice cream with brownie chunks and salted caramel along with the burnt basque cheesecake and were delighted by both.

25/07/2025: Went to see a show out on by Imelda Kavanagh s school it was fantastic.

19/06/2025: The Moat Club production of Present Laughter by Noel Coward is a joy to watch. The direction, set and costumes are superb. Coward’s verbal wizardry is well executed by all the actors. The Moat Theatre is an intimate venue with excellent staff and lends itself to this enjoyable production. Thanks one and all for an enjoyable evening.

20/10/2025: Myself & 2 friends spent 3 nights in the Abbeyglen recently & had a most enjoyable experience. From minute we landed everything was perfect, from breakfast to history of house to a fabulous dinner. We got brilliant value for what we paid for our stay. Staff were very helpful staff at reception. restaurant & bar staff & cleaners. We will definitely be making this an annual trip

12/10/2025: This is going to be a long one. This place is five stars, more like seven, do you want character? This has it do you want architecture has that too? Do you want a beautiful view check, can you walk to town?yes. Do you like Ivy? This place has lots of it. The inside, it’s old. There’s necks and scratches, it feels like the kind of place you’ll never wanna leave. Staff? Fantastic. The rooms, unbelievable. The bathrooms? As nice as they could possibly be. Fabulous rain showers. The food, absolutely five star, the food service? Add another five stars. The atmosphere? Had another five stars. We went on a tour of Scotland in Ireland and this by far was the finest place we stayed. I actually had to stop and ask some of the staff people how they liked working there, because if you could choose the most fabulous place to have a job, this would be it. Everybody there was like family. Check out my pictures.

25/08/2025: Vine aquí con mi pareja, sin tener conocimiento previo de ello - nos alojamos literalmente en un BnB aire enfrente y pensamos que se veía bien! El personal era increíble; el propietario nos reconoció cada vez que entramos y nos trató como a la realeza. El personal del bar era muy amable y servicial. Estaba claro que todo el bar era extremadamente aceptable y encantador! No podría recomendar más.

26/09/2025: Left the Jamison whiskey tour was famished pizza smell good Italian this is where we ate. Great food. Nice service good people.

24/09/2025: Booked a table on our way home. There were menu options for everyone and the staff was friendly and made us feel right at home. Food was delicious and hot, we had a couple of pizzas and the crab and lobster ravioli.

12/10/2025: great lunch the smoke salmon sandwich with was amazing great selection of beer and wines.

11/10/2025: Beautiful view overlooking the pier and coast. Everything was good quality, simple and effective. Nice rooms, not fancy but, quality beds, and very clean. The bar and restaurant are comfortable and well laid out. Staff super helpful and good at their work. Pet friendly also Good value also for B&B, would definitely return.

02/09/2025: Chill spot for comfort food! The pizza had a crispy crust with gooey cheese, and the burger was juicy and loaded with toppings. Perfect for a laid-back lunch or dinner with friends.

16/09/2025: Great pint of Guiness. Lovely to go and have a chat. No music blaring in the background or trying to talk over the TV.

15/09/2025: I loved it, it's a pub where local people go after leaving the office, with few tourists.
