We were in Cashel for a weekend and we stopped here three times. Best scones I've ever had, cakes were delicious, and the savoury brunch was also quite tasty. My partner had the avocado toast and it was absolutely loaded with avocado, not a tablespoon like in many other places.
Service was good too.

With food - Ordered the "pancakes" with Good pairings of slivered almonds and berries. Unfortunately, it seems they have no idea about a difference between a pancake and 3 paper thin tiny crepes they serve for whooping 13 EUR per plate.
Atmosphere - Absolutely confusing and the most pretentious cafe in Cork. They do not know if they are a rock cafe trying to paint their walls black and put up cute breakfast menu and price them as much as 5 star hotels. There is no space for even the waiters to move around. Absolutely sad to see one of the best cafes in Cork renovated and did a cheap expansion to charge their regulars more for cheap experience.

29/10/2024: Very disappointed after hearing all the hype about this place, fish and chips were not great batter not nice ,scampi was the worst I've ever had in my life ,only ate two pieces as it was like chewing rubber it was completely disgusting and was clearly overlooked .Won't be trying again.

14/04/2025: I came into the cove Monday 14th April at 1:09, was left standing at the bar hatch with no staff coming near me, finally I asked a staff member for a seat and I got pointed towards a table with verbal communication.....I was then left sitting at the table for 15minutes with nobody coming near me again, so I get fed up and left 1:41....waste of a half of my time. Staff don't look one bit happy to be working. I liked this pub for food, come out with my kids once a week. We'll I won't be back now. Ridiculous carry on.

13/04/2025: Be prepared to wait as there is no booking system yet. Once you get seated it's definitely an experience! Great food and service :) Hoping to try more dishes next time in. Would be great if they opened small booking slots for some tables! Thank you.
