Cirillo's
Dublin
21/05/2026: My wife liked the truffle pizza, my daughter liked the pizza but didn't like having to cut it herself, they need to buy a pizza slicer. My ragu was ok.
20/05/2026: Beatriz was fabulous. She served our group of 7 with grace and a smile. The food was excellent - I highly recommend the fettuccini and pink margaritas!

Muskerry Arms
Blarney
15/06/2026: Warm hospitality, fantastic food, great value, and a memorable local experience.
We had a fantastic experience at Muskerry Arms Bar. The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in, creating the kind of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes a pub feel truly local.
The food was absolutely delicious — especially the fish chowder and the Irish Stew, which was the chef’s special and genuinely outstanding. My wife had the burger that was loaded with bacon, cheese and excellent quality beef. All dishes were full of flavour, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a traditional Irish pub meal. Prices were very reasonable too, especially considering the quality.
Our B&B host, Olwen, highly recommended the place, and she was absolutely right. It was also great to meet the owner and hear the history of the family behind the bar — a lovely personal touch that added even more character to the visit.
Overall, Muskerry Arms Bar delivered excellent food, warm service, and a memorable sense of place. A spot well worth visiting.
10/06/2026: Our most disappointing meal during our two-week trip across Ireland. One of us ordered the soup of the day with a sandwich, while the rest had the beef stew with vegetables. Unfortunately, the food lacked the care and attention you hope for when dining out. The stew was underwhelming in flavor, and it was served with what appeared to be plain packaged white bread rather than something fresh or toasted. The soup & sandwich was good but nothing to write home about. The service was friendly and attentive, but we left disappointed with the overall quality of the food. Based on our experience, we would recommend eating elsewhere!

Brogan's
Ennis
05/05/2026: Food was good, the atmosphere was lively, service was very slow
02/05/2026: Went in when it wasn’t very busy. Menu was poor and not as good as I expected. I got a roast and so did my partner. Our kids got pizza, goujons and my teen got a curry. The turkey and hams, goujons and curry came out in decent timing but we were waiting an additional 7/8 mins for my youngest child’s pizza. Some of our food was cold when it came out.

Toffoli

12/04/2026: We had such a wonderful experience at this place! The pizza was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked with fresh ingredients and amazing flavor in every bite. You can really tell they care about what they serve.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Their friendly attitude and attentive service added so much to the overall experience.
The atmosphere was also lovely, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. Everything was just spot on.
We’ll definitely be coming back again.
Highly recommended to anyone who loves great pizza and excellent service!
08/02/2026: I have never finished a pizza before.. ever..before tonight ! The pizza here is incredible! Freshly cooked with authentic toppings, no chain restaurant crap here. Options of 10 inch (I had) or 12 inch which Would be sharing. A very basic restaurant with a very special vibe , it’s like sitting in your granny’s 💗 basic menu but food cooked fresh and to perfection .. original paintings from his daughter adorn the walls … we will be back!

Miss Suzy Sligo
Sligo
15/06/2026: This restaurant is fantastic.
The food is the best authentic Korean that I have had in Ireland.
Also the toilets are possibly the cleanest I've maybe ever been in which is a great sign .
We had the carnival dish which is a.smorgas board of mixed sushi and salad .
That plus a bowl of kimchi was enough for us both .
I watched the front of house interaction with customers and I am certain she is a very very nice person and does a great job it was good to see .
We cannot wait to go back there.
15/06/2026: Haven't seen such friendly staff for a good while. Food was delicious. Hidden gem 💎 in the middle of town. Definitely coming back to try more foods, and honestly advising to give it a try for anyone, even kids. Top spot not only in Sligo, but also in whole Ireland.

The Long Hall
Dublin
17/06/2026: Busy pub but you'll always find a corner to occupy. No live music, no TV. Just conversation, good service & drinks aplenty. Friendly bar staff & waiting staff.
16/06/2026: Friendly and welcoming even by Irish pub standards. A beautiful historic pub and a lovely place to spend a few hours. Tried their own brewery's Nitro Red Ale and their stout. Both were really good. Obviously a tourist destination but doesn't feel overly touristy. Well worth a visit.

05/04/2026: I tried all the usual touted best pints of Guinness in Dublin. This was by far the best.

The Golf Links Inn
Portmarnock
19/05/2026: A good reminder that the rankings of hotels are based on facilities available, not actual quality or service.
Both (both!!) pram lifts were out of order making navigating the hotel with a pram very difficult. Staff did not help with luggage or baby pram.
There is no dedicated greeter for breakfast so everybody who comes down just waits aimlessly until somebody notices them
Every so often you'll notice chipped paint, worn carpet, stained cutlery or other signs of low maintenance. (€260 per night by the way). The shower is a cramped prefabricated plastic installation.
Portmarnock hotel is one that survives on the reputation of the golf course, but outside of that legacy there is much better value and better luxury guest experiences you can get for your money in Ireland, and in Dublin.
17/04/2026: First stayed here 8 years ago and have since settled in the area. A quality establishment and a location you can't beat. The beach is my happy place.

The Fota Restaurant
Cork
01/06/2026: Think closer to a 4 star than a 5 star. Breakfast on the first morning was only ok. Full irish was over cooked and bacon was not good. Service very slow. Reception woke us up at 10.40 looking for a credit card number. It could have waited till morning as we were staying 2 nights but when I suggested this they didn't see to agree. Being honest tho the foor in Amber bar was very good and staff were lovely.
26/05/2026: Brilliant worth every Euro spent there

Glas
Dublin
16/05/2026: A great place if you want to treat yourself with some fancy vegetarian experience (but might be not the best choice for hungry people) - everything is pleasant for your eyes, taste and smell, including dishes, interior, drinks, people around.. Will definitely return when I visit Dublin next time.
13/05/2026: In my opinion this is the best vegetarian restaurant in Dublin and very likely the best in Ireland. The flavours from the food are delightful, and the whole dining experience is wonderful. I have been dining here for many years and the many friends I bring here say they have never tasted food so delicious and delightful. It is the perfect place for a special dining experience.
The staff are friendly, attentive and love to tell the diners about the dishes they are about to eat. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxing and it is an ideal place to impress guests.
I dine there time and time again because the food, presentation, and friendliness of staff is perfect. It's the place to go to for a nutritious and delicious relaxing meal.

30/10/2025: Had a great experience here. The food was amazing, especially the Peri Peri Burger and wings. The kebabs were incredibly tasty too, thanks to Farooq who really knows how to get the flavors right. Paula was super friendly and gave the best suggestions. And Aadil, the owner, welcomed everyone with such a cheerful vibe. Overall, delicious food and an awesome team. Definitely coming back! 🍔✨
